Payment & Funding - Master of Business Development at CBS

At MBD, you can take your master one course at a time. You only pay for the courses you are signed up for and for each course, you are that much closer to a full master degree.

A full Master degree consisting of 60 ECTS credits at a total cost of DKK 195,000 + any additional costs there may be towards books and accommodation in connection with lectures, e.g. at our mandatory courses.

Mandatory courses, 5 ECTS - 18.000 DKK excl. hotel stay

Core courses, 5 ECTS - 18.000 DKK

Electives, 3/6 ECTS - 10.500 DKK/21.000 DKK

Master's project, 12 ECTS - 24.000 DKK

In the Danish educational system a master degree is a part-time self-financed executive education. As opposed to the ordinary full-time graduate-masterprogrammes (kandidatuddannelser), master programmes are not state funded and, unfortunately, CBS' doesn't offer scholarships. Convince your manager

The majority of our students receive funding through their employer, as an MBD strengthens both the individual employee and the company. We therefore encourage you to get an agreement in place so that you can begin developing you skills. We have compiled som inspiration for you, to help you convince your manager.

Gross salary scheme

....in danish know as bruttolønsordning, is an agreement you can make with your employer if you would prefer to receive employee benefit (in this case an education) in exchange for a pay cut. There are certain guidelines that must be met. You can learn more on SKAT's webpage (unfortunately only in danish)

Civil servant

The Governmental Competency fund (den statslige kompetencepulje) is your opportunity to develop your skills for the future. As a civil servant you can apply the fund for funding for educational activities and skill advancement.

Working in the financial sector?

As an employee in the financial sector, you can apply for funding for a number of courses at MBD through the Financial Competence Pool (Finanskompetencepuljen). You can apply for funding for up to three courses per year, subject to a maximum of 15 ECTS credits per current year.

How to apply

Firstly, apply for funding for one of approved courses (listed below) via fiannskompetencepuljen. When you have received cornfirmation from them, you sign-upå fopr the course at MBD.
