THE STRATEGY PROJECT

Your MBA will conclude with a Master’s Strategy Project. This is an academic project based on either an internship placement or a company case, within a Danish or international organisation. This is one of the most important features of the Copenhagen MBA, engaging you, as an MBA candidate, in a four-month journey in which you will collaborate with enterprises to tackle issues related to diverse real-world challenges.

Under the guidance of faculty and company executives, the Strategy Project is a unique opportunity to bring value to the MBA candidate and partner companies. Your project will provide commercial insight and perspective, introduce you to cutting-edge research and techniques, and help you hone your skills in a dynamic environment.

While it is the participant's responsibility to secure a strategy project, the MBA team is committed to supporting all participants throughout this process. While most strategy projects affiliated with CBS are local, we also encourage and welcome projects with companies outside of Denmark.

With support from the MBA team, you will agree on a Strategy Project with a company of your choice, either through an internship placement or a case study.

You will help solve a multidisciplinary strategic issue for your unit or department, with full access to relevant organisational data. This is a structured role, and a host will support you on your journey. Examples of previous projects have included:

A country-specific market entry strategy for a product developed by a pharmaceutical company
A viability analysis and execution plan for consolidating global R&D centres into the headquarters
A commercialisation strategy to enable the Client to grow in the target Markets in Europe, by leveraging the Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage technology
