A tailored career module

The module ‘Managing Your Career’ is an individual journey that lets you reflect on your post-MBA goals and your personal strengths and talents, as well as your ideal job situation and past experiences.

Throughout the year you will experience company visits, welcome guest speakers and attend events – all of which are designed to help put you on the road to achieving your career goals. This module runs through the entire programme to support you in the process of identifying your ambitions and facilitating opportunities for employment.

Included in the MBA programme, you will take part in one-to-one career coaching sessions, interactive group workshops, company visits, case competitions, and career days.

To further increase your knowledge and insight about job roles and industries in Denmark, you have the opportunity to be matched with an alum who will be your career mentor.

Below are examples of career focused activities for Copenhagen MBA participants that occur throughout the year.

Novo Nordisk - Professional Breakfast

The Head of DDS (Device & Delivery Solutions) Portfolio Strategy & Management at Novo Nordisk gives strategic insights on MedTech. A high-level overview and focus on value and trends in MedTech, followed by discussions on an approach to innovation to maximize value. The speaker has 18 years of experience in the life science industry, with experience in start-ups and big pharma, holding positions in program management and portfolio strategy in different parts of the value-chain.

Maersk - Company Visit

Participants visit Maersk’s local headquarters and meet the Head of Service Model Transformation who introduces the company and the industry. The event is then followed by a Q & A session.

Danske Bank - Case Competition

Danske Bank hosts its annual case challenge with the CBS MBA. Participants work in groups on a topic that is shared one day in advance so they have limited time to prepare. On the day, participants will also have time to work on the case before presenting to the panel of judges. The case challenge is followed by a networking social hour. Case competitions are an opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and connect with people in specific industries and companies.

As part of our commitment to your career, we will introduce you to our valuable MBA Alumni network, the biggest MBA network in Scandinavia, giving you numerous opportunities to interact with alumni, both on formal and less formal terms.

And if you, like many of our graduates, are interested in staying in Denmark post-MBA, we will match you up with an alum who will be your personal career mentor in the third trimester. Your mentor will not only assist you in creating a plan needed to achieve your career goals, but they will help you better understand the industry you have chosen and provide valuable insight into the Danish job market.
