What are key aspects of the Copenhagen MBA that you enjoyed?
Over the past year, I have had the privilege of immersing myself in the world of business, acquiring invaluable knowledge and the MBA toolbox that have transformed my perspective. Two standout courses, in particular, have left an incredible mark on me—Strategy and Sustainability.
In the Strategy class, I delved into the intricacies of crafting and implementing successful business strategies. I learned that strategy isn't just about planning; it's about adaptability, resilience, and the ability to navigate an ever-changing landscape. These lessons will undoubtedly be the compass guiding me in my future endeavours.
The Sustainability module, on the other hand, made it even more clear of the pressing global challenges we face. I discovered how businesses can be a force for good, driving positive change while maintaining profitability. Sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it's a responsibility, and I am committed to integrating sustainable practices into everything I do.
I am also very proud to be a part of the leadership team of Net Impact Copenhagen Business School. By bringing numerous events centered around sustainability close to the MBA classroom, together, we achieved Gold Status of the Year! I look forward to passing on the torch to the next cohort and continuing creating sustainable impact to the community and society.
How was your internship experience and what did you enjoy about it?
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to intern in the M&A department at COWI. I delivered a strategic project that explores ways to capitalize on digital solutions at COWI. This project allows me to take an in-depth look at the fit between the traditional consulting business model and digital business model, and how a long- and well-established engineering consultancy, as COWI, could navigate these challenges. This project was made possible thanks to many different people within the organisation, who really took their time and gave me direct insights in what they see, how they are impacted by new digital solutions, and how these solutions could benefit in the long term.
Besides, I was involved in an on-going transaction and other strategic projects, which were very exciting and provided great hands-on learnings of M&A practice in a corporate. I was able to apply the holistic and academic MBA toolbox into practical business settings, a solid foundation to my next step.
Interning at COWI, I particularly enjoyed meeting with competent and very experienced colleagues, who are at the same time open to sharing fact-based perspectives. I also enjoyed the practical experience, and I am very grateful for the inclusiveness and numerous supports that my supervisor, Søren Friis, as well as other colleagues showed.
