After building a global career across Asia, Chris Tyler found his purpose in sustainability — and a path to a new future through the MBA programme at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
Chris Tyler, a 29-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, transitioned into a sustainability-focused career after earning his MBA from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). Drawn by CBS's strong emphasis on sustainability and Denmark's leadership in the field, he chose the one-year programme to gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of sustainable business practices.
During his studies, Chris participated in the Leadership Discovery Process, which included a wilderness expedition in Sweden to develop leadership skills. He also benefited from CBS's mentorship programme and networking opportunities, which helped him secure a position as a Management Consultant at a Danish engineering consulting firm. In this role, he advises clients on integrating EU sustainability directives into their business strategies, focusing on areas like renewable energy and carbon capture.
Chris's international background, including work in China and Thailand, combined with CBS's sustainability-centric curriculum, equipped him with the skills and knowledge to pursue his goal of working in sustainability-oriented business leadership. He credits the MBA programme for providing a clear career direction and the opportunity to apply his learning in real-world settings.
