Denmark is a scientific hub for progressing quantum technology and computing. With this rapidly developing technology at our fingertips, potential beneficiaries must consider their quantum-computing strategies. Companies like Microsoft and Novo Nordisk are already investing heavily in this disruptive endeavour as they recognise the possibilities and opportunities that quantum computing will bring – do you recognise them, too? If not, it’s time to.

At our CBS event on quantum computing, we dived into how qubits and fluid realities will come to influence industries and improve businesses in the future. Powered by an expert panel of researchers and enthusiasts from CBS, Kvantify and KPMG, topics and questions revolved around core challenges, cybersecurity, intellectual property and effects on markets.

While we might not know the exact time or magnitude of impact quantum technology will have, the event highlighted the opportunities, disruptions and potential it holds across businesses and industries. By the end, the audience shared their thoughts on which problems quantum computing could solve, that we haven’t even thought of yet. Answers included time travel, mind reading and happiness.

Jonas Hedman

Jonas is a CBS Professor with special responsibilities. His work explores how digitalisation transforms businesses and society with an empirical focus on the FinTech sector and how technological innovations shape the industry. Jonas teaches the CBS MBA Concentration in Digitalisation as well as digitalisation courses at the Master of Business Development.

Ignacio Godoy Descazeux

Ignacio is an independent Ph.D. student in the Department of Digitalization of CBS. His current research focuses on the exploration and understanding of the potential impact of quantum computing in the management of information systems and business. Beyond topics related to quantum computing, he is interested in digital innovation and technological disruptions.

Bent Dalager

Bent is a key voice within business digitalisation and technology. He's both Founder and Head of KPMG's NewTech practice in the Nordics as well as the Global Head of KPMG Quantum Hub. Furthermore, Bent heads up IT-branchens NewTech Policy board, sits on the board of the Danish Quantum Society, is Fintech/AI advisor for the Danish FSA and external lecturer at CBS Board Education and at INSEAD Executive MBA.

Sofie Lindskov Hansen

Sofie is a Quantum Application Specialist at Kvantify. She holds a PhD in Quantum Photonics from the University of Copenhagen and has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher. At Kvantify, she specialises in helping pharmaceutical and Life Science businesses identify potential use cases for quantum technology.
