HD2 Maritime

An HD2 Maritime is a highly specialised programme that equips you with useful skills in two vital areas: shipping and business development.

With an HD2 Maritime, you will be able to analyse and address global challenges such as the green transition, digitalisation, and geopolitical changes - challenges that all global companies must address and navigate.

Throughout the programme, you will develop the competences to optimise your company’s value chains, focusing on suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. This provides you and your organisation with unique competitive advantages thanks to the distinctive combination of maritime expertise, business insight, and operational optimisation.

Students develop a distinctive competence profile that positions them as frontrunners in the maritime sector and as pioneers of the green transition. The programme offers a flexible structure, grounded in the latest research from CBS’s expert faculty and tailored to the professional realities of each individual student.

Entry requirements

To be admitted to the HD2 programme, you must meet two requirements:

A directly qualifying education
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience

Qualifying educations:

HD1
Academy Profession (AP) Degree in Financial Advice
(Only applies to the profiling 'Bank og Realkredit' and 'Revision')
AP Graduate as Financial Controller
AP Graduate in Financial Management
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Economics and Business Administration
Bachelor of Financial Management and Service
Relevant Master's Degree

You also have the option to apply for an exemption from the entry requirements if you do not have a qualifying education, but an equivalent education.

If you only meet the entry requirement of a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, you can enrol for single courses in HD2. However, you will not be able to enrol for the Final Project in HD2, and therefore, you will not be able to complete your HD2 education without meeting the entry requirement of a qualifying education.

Courses of 10 ECTS: DKK 13,150

HD2 consists of four semesters, each worth 15 ECTS, in total 60 ECTS.

If you are interested in taking HD2 at your own pace, you have the option to enrol in single courses.

Courses can also be an option if you need to professionally upskill and gain competencies in a specific topic.

With HD2 courses, you can tailor your programme to suit your needs, both in terms of pace and learning style, as you can choose between on-campus or online courses.

HD2 Maritime courses are offered as an online teaching format, allowing you to access them at your convenience. Additionally, classes typically occur outside normal working hours, enabling you to balance your study, career, family, and leisure time.
