What is MBD?

Master of Business Development is a flexible executive master programme for those passionate about developing, creating and leading. The programme is focused on business development and is targeted at employees in the private sector. A full MBD degree consists of mandatory courses, core courses, electives and finally a master project. You have great flexibility in deciding how to structure your education.
MBD is based on how organizations and the labour market are structured today. This means that we offer a practice-oriented education where you develop skills and insights that create great value for yourself as well as your organization. And most importantly, you can implement your skills directly in your work, creating value immediately.
With an MBD you'll gain insight into a wide range of topics incl. business and organisational development, digitalisation, innovation, strategic communication, personal development, finance and management. You can strengthen your abilities and your business in the direction you want and at a pace that suits you.

We have designed a flexible continuing-educational programme where we provide the building blocks for you. The programme consists of mandatory courses, core courses, elective courses and a master project that you put together in your own way. However, we recommend that you start with one of our mandatory courses, which form the foundation of the program.
A full master degree can be completed in 2-6 years.

MBD lectures take place on weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm.

Med udgangspunkt i den tyske sociolog Hartmut Rosa's teori om resonanserfaringer, dykker vi ned i hvordan acceleration påvirker din organisatoriske struktur og menneskelige relationer. Gennem en kombination af teoretiske indsigter og hands-on øvelser lærer du, hvordan resonans kan bruges til at fremme autentiske interaktioner, øge kreativiteten og skabe meningsfulde forbindelser i dit arbejdsmiljø.

True ESG: Moving Beyond Compliance to Purpose

<h6>About the event</h6>
In the coming years, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence will enhance transparency regarding companies' efforts in sustainability, ethics, and governance.
Amid these new demands, companies risk focusing excessively on compliance and merely meeting minimum requirements, rather than establishing a new purpose and comprehensive strategy for future ESG work. In essence, it is not solely about compliance, but also about developing ethical standards and prioritising efforts.
While compliance may currently dominate attention, strategy implementation is equally crucial. According to a 2023 survey by Morningstar Sustainalytics, 90% of companies either have or are developing a formal ESG strategy. However, many face significant challenges, such as concerns over performance, a lack of comprehensive data, and fears of greenwashing. Indeed, balancing ESG with growth targets remains one of the most prominent concerns.
So, how can companies transition from compliance to strategic implementation? What are the key challenges for Danish companies, and what should they consider when building a strategy based on reporting?
Building on the success of our previous event, <a href="/en/events/p16-the-end-of-esg" title="P16: The end of ESG?">'The end of ESG? Navigating the turbulent landscape'</a>, we are excited to invite you to our second event on current ESG challenges and opportunities. Once again, we have invited CBS Associate Professor Kristjan Jespersen and Simon Taylor, Senior Director and Co-founder at Position Green, to discuss ESG, focusing this time on the transition from compliance to strategy implementation and new insights from Position Green's anticipated new ESG100 report.

You'll be in the company of our esteemed CBS professor Poornima Luthra. She has spent the last fifteen years researching and teaching university courses in the field of talent management, with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion. More recently, Poornima has taken her years of academic experience into the corporate world with the vision of making workplaces more inclusive for all.  of the books:
